WORKSHOP: Achieving energy and emissions savings in municipal buildings

NOTE: This opportunity has expired or is an event which has already taken place.

The 13th International Conference for Enhanced Building Operators (ICEBO) will be held in Montreal, Quebec, from October 8 – 11th, 2013. The ICEBO 2013 forum will address sustainable solutions for the existing buildings of today and provide innovative pathways to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

The workshop is hosted by Natural Resources Canada in close partnership with the Energy Systems Laboratory at Texas A&M University. Supporting organizations include the National Research Council Canada.

Since 2003, the Mayors’ Megawatt Challenge has been bringing together municipalities to achieve exceptional levels of energy and environmental performance in their facilities. At this year’s ICEBO conference, the Mayors’ Megawatt Challenge will host a workshop on achieving energy and emissions savings in municipal buildings. The workshop will profile the most energy efficient town and city halls in Canada and highlight how participants can work toward targets being achieved by comparable top-performers. It will also introduce the early results on the actual energy efficiency of community centres and arenas. Visit www.trca.on.ca/townhall for more information.
