TechWomen Canada accelerates the growth of Canada’s most promising women-run companies!
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The TechWomen Canada program aims to connect and support Canadian women in the technology sector to their peers in Silicon Valley. This outreach initiative will expose the Canadian women to the impact and high growth culture of the Valley, which they can use to enhance the growth of their technology companies. Each participant will have the unique chance to explore business opportunities in one of the biggest Information Communication Technology (ICT) clusters in the world, the Silicon Valley. The program includes professional and business development opportunities with local industry experts/investors/strategic partners through networking events such as the Welcome reception, and the Tech Women Canada concluding reception hosted by Cassie Doyle, Consul General of
Canada.
The Canadian women will be paired with mentors from leading companies in Silicon Valley and will receive training and skills in their specific area of expertise as well as professional guidance and support. The mentorship will continue online for a period of up to two months.
DATE AND LOCATION
The program will take place in Silicon Valley, California, from May 13th to May 16th, 2013. The deadline to apply for TechWomen Canada is April 5th, 2013. Participants will be responsible for their travel and accommodation costs.
PARTICIPANTS/CRITERIA
Canadian women entrepreneurs and women in senior roles in technology will be invited to participate in the program. Do you qualify?
- Woman in a senior technology role in Canada; and
- Developed a technology/product in revenue stage; and
- Looking to accelerate your company’s global growth by leveraging Silicon Valley’s unique ecosystem; and
- Founder of a tech company in Canada; or
- Investor in a tech company in Canada; or
- Leader of a tech association in Canada.
