The Co-operative business model may work for you. A Co-operative is a legally incorporated business, owned by its members who use its services. These owners can be individuals, businesses, community groups, municipalities or some combination of these.
On November 19th, 12:00 – 2:00 NEIA and the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Co-operatives will be holding an information session on the potential use of the co-operative model to grow the environmental sector. You will be introduced to the steps in the co-operative development process and the supports available to assist. A light lunch will be provided.
NEIA and NLFC are partnering in the development of a research and policy paper examining the potential of the co-operative model in the environmental sector. This session will help provide some context for that paper.
