Small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) often have difficulty successfully participating in corporate, industrial and public sector supply chains. During this Speaker Series, Caron Hawco will discuss how SME’s offer diversity and value to major supply chains. She will also provide insight to help SME’s compete and succeed in the procurement process.
The Presenter

Caron Hawco, ABC, PMP, is an accomplished consultant and facilitator, specializing in strategy, communications, supply chain diversity as well as regulatory and public affairs. As President of the Caron Hawco Group, she offers deep industry knowledge, expertise and a strong network to solve complex communications, business, regulatory and stakeholder challenges facing industry, government, and business.
Caron is an oil and gas industry specialist. From 2008-2015, Caron held management positions with Norwegian national oil company, Statoil, serving as a member of its Offshore Canada leadership team. She is the former Chair of the Newfoundland and Labrador Oil and Gas Industry Association (NOIA) and is a petroleum industry columnist with Natural Resources Magazine (Atlantic Business Magazine).
Over the past year, she has been working on a supply chain access program, focusing on gender, SMBs and supplier diversity in the petroleum and mining industries.
Prior to this, Caron held ownership in two successful public relations companies offering strategic communications and marketing services across multiple sectors.
