Solid Waste Management Innovation Fund now accepting proposals
NOTE: This opportunity has expired or is an event which has already taken place.
The Multi-Materials Stewardship Board’s (MMSB) Solid Waste Management Innovation Fund provides financial support to innovators who are advancing sustainable waste management by finding creative ways to turn trash into treasure in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Now Accepting Proposals
Provincially owned and/or operated businesses, industry associations and non-profit organizations can apply for a maximum $15,000 non-repayable contribution for the development of new or improved technologies, products, services or processes that support the management of solid waste in Newfoundland and Labrador – at any stage of the waste management hierarchy (reduce, reuse, recycle or recover).
Past projects have ranged in size and scope and include such initiatives as recycling textiles into rugs and mats; reusing furniture to help make a house a home for those in need; and composting restaurant and hotel food and yard waste to increase organic waste diversion. Visit www.mmsb.nl.ca for highlights on more funding initiatives.
The Terms of Reference document provides complete details on the proposal process. You can download that by clicking here or by viewing the PDF interactively below. Please note that proposals must be submitted in the format outlined in the Terms of Reference in order to be eligible for consideration. Proponents are strongly encouraged to contact MMSB to discuss the potential project prior to developing a proposal.
