Our Food, Our Future: 2nd Biennial Agricultural Research Symposium November 4-6, 2014, Corner Brook (NL)

With financial support from Growing Forward 2, the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Natural Resources, Agrifoods Development Branch together with Grenfell Campus, Memorial University of Newfoundland, will hold its 2nd Biennial Agricultural Research Symposium November 4-6, 2014, Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador.
The intent of the symposium is to provide current information to farmers, extension specialists, educators, agricultural professionals, and others interested in Newfoundland and Labrador agriculture, identify needs, and inform future research and technology development directions.
Presentations will be selected based on their innovative excellence, relevance to the research needs and priorities of farmers, soundness of the methodology used, and the overall scientific quality.
The Symposium invites researchers from all disciplines related to agriculture and agri-food research. Areas of interest include (but are not confined to):
- Diversification of agrifood production;
- Value added production and processing;
- Animal health and nutrition;
- Climate Change mitigation and adaptation;
- Soil health, quality, and nutrient cycling; and
- Farm economics, marketing and commercialization.
