HAZWOPER Training (Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response)

Register now and get certified! Only 3 spaces left for the refresher course and 5 spaces left for the full week. This is the only such program offered on the island of Newfoundland, and is a mandatory requirement for working on uncontrolled waste sites in the USA and through Canadian Federal Government departments. Booming Labrador!

An event to inform the local business community about economic activities taking place in Labrador. Labrador west is being touted as the next Fort McMurray. Find out what all the buzz is about! NEIA is hosting a morning session with the mayors of Labrador City and Goose Bay as well as representatives from Nunatsiavut and the Innu Nation.

NEIA is pleased to officially launch our new website! The website has many new features including: daily updates of what is happening in the environmental industry today; a Featured Member section; a library of important links and resources; a new system to register online for NEIA events; a Membership Directory that allows members to update their own profile; and much more!

Of Interest    


The Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism is leading a Skilled Worker Recruitment Initiative to Ireland from November 7 - 12, 2011. A job fair will be hosted by the Office in Dublin and Cork and it is expected to have several hundred Irish workers in attendance who are looking for employment opportunities in Eastern Canada.

There is space available for 10 employers who have difficult-to-fill positions. Two of these spaces have already been filled leaving 8 employer openings. We would be thrilled if you or someone from your company would be interested in attending.
