Memorial University: Grenfell Campus residences receive LEED Silver certification

The new Memorial University Student Residence at the Grenfell Campus of Memorial University in Corner Brook, NL received a LEED Silver certification from the Canada Green Building Council. The new residence opened in September 2013 and has 200 student beds, including common kitchens and lounges on each floor. The project team focused their sustainability efforts on student health and building energy efficiency, including means for alternative transportation, incorporated green / healthy materials and access to exterior views.
