Marine Institute looking to engage with local industry members active (or wish to be) internationally
NOTE: This opportunity has expired or is an event which has already taken place.

The Marine Institute (MI), supported by the Atlantic Canadian Opportunities Agency (ACOA), is hosting an informal engagement luncheon aimed at local industry members and organizations in St. John’s that have been active internationally or wish to engage with an international audience.
The Marine Institute has been active in international development, contract training and consultancies for the last 25 years, having successfully completed more than 200 projects in more than 50 countries globally. During this period, MI has developed internal processes and methodology for researching, bidding on and successfully implementing international projects from funders as diverse as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the African Development Bank, the United Nations, and various nation-state development agencies such as the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development in Canada.
Frequently, MI’s approach is a collaborative one, either as lead or as a sub-contractor for a bid. We hope, therefore, that this informal session will act as a facilitator for discussion between attendees on best-practises involving international experiences and strategies and that it may provide an opportunity for attendees to partner together on future initiatives.
