Julia is the leader of KPMG’s US & Cross-Border Tax Group in Regions East and has 10 years’ experience assisting both corporate and individual clients with Canadian and US cross-border issues. Julia is a subject matter expert in the field of US and cross border tax for privately held businesses and works closely with clients to manage US exposures and compliance. She has worked with cross border businesses of many sizes to help structure US business expansion, manage tax costs, repatriate profits and address mobile workforce issues. Julia also has extensive experience dealing with state income and sales tax laws, and can assist clients in determining their exposures, negotiate voluntary disclosure agreements with the various state bodies, and assist with state income, franchise and sales tax compliance.
Janice Connors is a Senior Manager in KPMG’s U.S. and Cross-Border Tax practice located in St. John’s. Janice provides a full range of U.S. income tax and compliance advisory services. She has extensive experience with personal tax planning and compliance requirements for individuals and corporations with both Canadian and U.S. tax filing needs. Janice works out of KPMG’s St. John’s office located at TD Place, 140 Water Street, Suite 1001.
