Pinchin LeBlanc is seeking a junior Environmental Technologist to join our Assessment and Remediation Group in St. John’s NL. The ideal candidate will have an environmental related technology diploma supported by practical experience conducting Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments including soil, surface soil, and groundwater collection following recognized industry standard protocols, groundwater monitoring, air sampling/monitoring, etc. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, being able to effectively interact with property owners, contractors, regulatory agencies, and professionals. Solid technical report writing skills would be a definite asset. Experience with hazardous materials, indoor air quality, and/or occupational hygiene is ideal, but not required. Additional ‘in-house’ training and cross training into our other service lines will be provided as necessary.
This position requires work related travel, therefore, a valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and insurance is required (work related travel expenses will be compensated). The successful candidate may also be subject to criminal records checks, drug testing, and/or medical assessments depending on the requirements of our clients. Overtime and or evening/weekend work will be required from time to time. Candidates that do not have a diploma, but possess relevant experience, are encouraged to apply.
