Marine Contractors Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Technician to meet the company’s growth strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the environmental performance of the company. They will also develop, implement, and monitor environmental strategies, policies, and programs that promote sustainable development, perform environmental audits and assessments, identify and resolve environmental concerns. They will work with the management team of Marine Contractors to develop and carry out staff training to ensure all members of the Marine workforce recognize and understand their own contributions to creating a safe and environmentally secure worksite.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills and thrive in a team oriented workplace. The ideal candidate will have an environmental degree or technology diploma supported by a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the field, as well as demonstrated technical writing skills. Industry specific training would be an asset, however additional site-specific training will be provided as necessary.
