ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor (Exemplar)

Workshop Outline:
This competency-based five-day workshop under the TPECS scheme provides an explanation of the ISO 9001 requirements and the design of a functional and effective quality management system. It explains the auditing process and audit instruments, the documentation process, how to conduct an audit, how to write the audit report and take corrective action. Presentation materials include real-world case studies to develop skills for auditing and identifying nonconformities. Techniques for leading auditing teams will also be discussed. Students gain knowledge through class tutorials, group exercises, role-playing, and open classroom discussions.
Attendees who successfully demonstrate competence during this course will achieve a Certificate of Attainment for the following competency units:
- Exemplar Global-QM (Quality management systems)
- Exemplar Global-AU (Management systems auditing)
- Exemplar Global-TL (Leading management systems audit teams)

- Extensive review and application of ISO 9001:2015 QMS – Requirements
- Extensive review and application of ISO 19011:2012 – Guidelines for QMS Auditing
- Understand and create an effective audit plan
- Review and understand auditing codes of practice
- Understand ISO 9001 audit trails and how to perform effective audits
- Learn document review skills
- Identify and document non-conformances
- Apply decision-making skills on the ISO 9001 standard in a variety of audit situations
- Conduct opening and closing meetings
- Complete the audit reports and conduct audit follow-up
- Practice the personal attributes necessary to perform an effective management system audit
