In fall 2014 IBRD will lead a multi-sector mission to Ireland. While the mission will be multi-sector, ocean technology companies will find a renewed emphasis on ocean technology and marine in Ireland. Recent Irish investments in marine and ocean assets have opened potential for expanded interaction, especially in ocean technology, ocean observation, aquaculture, ICT and marine tourism. Through its agencies and institutions, Ireland is promoting business and research alliances that will contribute to expanding the ocean sector capabilities with potential for future participation in Europe’s Blue Economy.
