EOIs for shovel-ready projects that can deliver significant and sustainable near-term greenhouse gas reductions in Alberta

The Climate Change and Emissions Management Corporation (CCEMC) is now inviting EOIs for shovel-ready projects that can deliver significant and sustainable near-term greenhouse gas reductions in Alberta. Only projects that can reduce GHG emissions by greater than 50,000 tonnes CO2e annually and be fully implemented before 2020 will be considered. GHG reductions must be quantifiable, and verifiable. Please review the PDF documents linked below to see if your project is qualified to submit.

The total funding available for projects supported through this call for proposals is up to $75 million Canadian Dollars (CAD), subject to the discretion of CCEMC and the availability of funds.The maximum CCEMC contribution to a single project will be $25 million CAD over the life of the project, and will support no more than one-half of the project’s eligible expenses.

This call for proposals is open to applications in any or all of the CCEMC’s strategic funding areas:

  • Energy Efficiency and Conservation
  • Carbon Capture and Storage
  • Cleaner Energy Production and Utilization
