College of the North Atlantic helps launch Career Start wage subsidy program
Career Start is a WAGE SUBSIDY program designed to assist post-secondary graduates (15 to 30 years of age), transition from post-secondary education into high-demand career occupations. Employers receive financial incentives to offset training costs, and are encouraged to consider hiring inexperienced youth to fill vacant positions.
Looking for bright, energetic and creative employees? We can help. The CAREER START PROGRAM funded by the Government of Canada, is a unique wage subsidy initiative designed to address Canada’s skills shortages and youth unemployment. If you are a private sector employer and currently hiring for full-time positions, you may be eligible for funding of up to 50 per cent of a post-secondary graduate’s wage for three months.
