ACAP Humber Arm is welcoming the Honourable Graham Letto, Provincial Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment as guest speaker at its next Coastal Matters Speakers Series. The Minister will speak on plastic waste, climate change, environmental assessment regulations, and more. An abstract for the talk can be found below.
This talk will take place 12:30 to 1:20pm, Friday, March 1st in the Fine Arts Gallery, Fine Arts College, Grenfell Campus, Corner Brook. As with all Coastal Matters presentations this session is free of charge and open to the public. RSVP’s not required.
ABSTRACT
The Honourable Graham Letto, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, will speak about the impacts of climate change and the Provincial Government’s long-term plans to mitigate the effects of climate change. The minister will also discuss flood risk mapping initiatives, efforts to decrease the presence of plastic waste in our environment, and the review of the environmental assessment regulations and processes.
