Coastal Matters Speakers Series: Drinking Water Systems in Newfoundland and Labrador – A Work in Progress

Dr. Kelly Vodden, Associate Professor (Research), Environmental Policy Institute, Grenfell Campus, Memorial University will be speaking on the topic Drinking Water Systems in Newfoundland and Labrador: A Work in Progress. A description of Dr. Vodden’s talk can be found below.

This talk will take place 7:30pm, Tuesday, March 31st at the Corner Brook Museum and Archives. As with all Coastal Matters presentations this session is free of charge and open to the public. RSVP’s not required. Tea and coffee will be available.

Presentation Description
This presentation will discuss the evolution of drinking water systems in Newfoundland and Labrador, including changes in water infrastructure and operations, policy and governance, and public perceptions and demands, particularly in Corner Brook and western Newfoundland. The presenter will also discuss a recent study highlighting current challenges and potential future directions for ensuring drinking water security and access to clean, safe drinking water in the province.
