Climate Change, Clean Growth, and Energy Opportunities in China: November 27-29, 2018, Edmonton (AB)
NOTE: This opportunity has expired or is an event which has already taken place.
What is needed for Canadians to succeed in climate change, clean growth, and energy sectors in China?
The China Institute of the University of Alberta, Global Affairs Canada and the Government of Alberta are hosting a forum themed A Canadian Conversation: Climate Change, Clean Growth, and Energy Opportunities in China. This event will be held at the Fairmont Hotel MacDonald in Edmonton on November 28, 2018, preceded by a welcome dinner on November 27. There will be practitioner panels, networking opportunities, as well as be one-on-one federal and provincial trade and investment support for interested companies, and – on the following morning, November 29 – a detailed market briefing and additional meeting opportunities. We would be delighted if you would accept our invitation to attend.
Bringing together leaders from industry and the public sector, the event is designed to learn from the on-the-ground-experience of Canadian small and medium-sized companies today and to spark focused dialogue on what is needed to succeed in China’s clean technology and energy industries tomorrow. The forum will also provide vital guiding insights for Government of Canada’s engagement with China through the Trade Commissioner Service as well as mechanisms like the Canada-China ministerial dialogues on Clean Energy and on Climate Change and the Canada–China Clean Technology Working Group.
The forum will focus on the following topics:
-
- The Enabling Environment and Emerging Opportunities in China
- The Enabling Environment in Canada
- Experience from the Ground
- Canada-China Dialogue : What’s Ahead
