Caribbean Market Entry Strategies – Last Call for 2015!

NOTE: This opportunity has expired or is an event which has already taken place.

In 2014 and 2015, 15 firms and organizations worked with a consulting team to develop tailored Caribbean market entry strategies. Following on the recommendations of these strategies, NEIA has executed two business development missions to the region in February and June of 2015.

Based on the success of these initiatives, and ongoing interest in our Caribbean program, we are now offering a limited number of new firms the opportunity to work with the consulting team to develop their own customized strategies. This will be the last chance for firms to receive a Market Entry Strategy for the Caribbean prior to the November mission.

Note: Only firms that have completed these strategies will be eligible to participate in the next mission to the region (November 2015).

In collaboration with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and the Department of Business, Tourism, Culture, and Rural Development (BTCRD), the Newfoundland and Labrador Environmental Industry Association (NEIA) has once again retained the services of an export development team specialized in Caribbean export development to support select members with market research and opportunity identification. The team, comprised of Amber Mackereth and Stew Hattie, will work closely with NEIA members to identify and pre-qualify relevant opportunities and contacts and to recommend targeted business development strategies specific to each participating firm.

Both Amber and Stew have extensive knowledge of, and experience within the Caribbean region, along with strong networks of contacts across government agencies, funding institutions and the private sector. For almost ten years and in several different capacities, Amber has supported Canadian firms to identify, plan and position for opportunities within the Caribbean. She has worked for the Government of Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service and as a consultant in coordinating numerous trade missions to and from the Caribbean which have focused on sectors not limited to energy, environmental services and education and training. Stew is a business development consultant with extensive experience and networks in the Caribbean. This is as a result of managing 100 plus consulting assignments for more than 25 years in the region in all English-speaking Caribbean countries from the Bahamas in the north to Trinidad and Tobago in the south and in Cuba, Guyana, Belize and Suriname as well.

Participating firms will be charged $500 for this service.
