Be a Part of the New St. John’s Food Policy Council
NOTE: This opportunity has expired or is an event which has already taken place.
On recommendation from the Environmental Advisory Committee in December 2013, the St. John’s City Council supported the Food Security Network of NL (FSN) to develop a food policy council. At the inaugural meeting in June of 2014, 29 people gathered to talk about the purpose, priorities, and membership of the St. John’s Food Policy Council (SJFPC). Since that time, a working group chaired by FSN has formed to guide the development of the council.
FSN is eager to build a vibrant council that includes citizens from diverse organizations, sectors, and communities that will guide the work of the St. John’s Food Policy Council. Help form the council by submitting an application (click here), and/or promoting this opportunity through your network. The deadline for application is April 24th 2015.
