NOTE: This opportunity has expired or is an event which has already taken place.

The Atlantic Partnership in RBCA Implementation (PIRI) provides Atlantic Risk-Based Corrective Action (RBCA) software and technical user guidance training.

On August 1, 2013, Atlantic PIRI released the Ecological Screening Protocol for Petroleum Impacted Sites in Atlantic Canada online training module. This module can be taken as a supplement to the Introduction to Atlantic RBCA Version 3 online course or as stand-alone training and will take about 1.5 hours to complete. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion with 1.5 professional development hours.

The online training is self-paced and reinforces learning with knowledge checks and a case study at the end of the module.

What is in the Module?
The Ecological Screening Protocol for Petroleum Impacted Sites in Atlantic Canada online training module aims to provide industry members and consultants with knowledge of the basic principles and concepts of ecological screening within the Atlantic Canada regulatory context.

The online module, sanctioned by Atlantic PIRI, provides participants with an opportunity to:

  • Assess petroleum hydrocarbon hazards.
  • Identify habitats and ecological receptors.
  • Identify exposure pathways for habitats and ecological receptors.
  • Conduct the screening protocol efficiently and consistently.
  • Complete a final case study.

The module costs $95 excluding taxes and is available at a reduced cost to those who have previously taken the Introduction to Atlantic RBCA online course.
