With LEED v4, many multi-unit residential buildings pursuing LEED certification will be required to use either the LEED BD+C: Midrise or LEED BD+C: Homes Rating System. In June, Canadian Alternative Compliance Pathways will be introduced for these rating systems. These changes are intended to facilitate and encourage increased market uptake for LEED in the residential sector and to simplify the certification process. The rating systems, designed specifically for the residential market, have unique verification processes that have benefits for developers and their project teams.
The purpose of this webinar is to explain the intent, the benefits, and the process of LEED BD+C: Midrise certification. Attendees will become familiar with how the process is more cost-effective and compatible with residential development, design and construction. Participants will also learn about which types of buildings will be required to use the various systems.
