An Evening for Our Ecosystem – Celebrating 28 years of local environmental stewardship

NOTE: This opportunity has expired or is an event which has already taken place.

You are invited to an Evening for our Ecosystem, hosted by the Quidi Vidi – Rennie’s River Development Foundation. We are celebrating 28 years of local environmental stewardship in support of promoting eco-consciousness in the coming year through environmental education & public events.

The evening commences with a cocktail reception at 7:00pm, followed by a distinguished three-course meal prepared by Chef William Pearcey. Harpist Ed Kavaghah will play throughout the night.

Tickets to this event are $125 each, with the option of purchasing a 50/50 ticket for $20 with your ticket (also available during the evening). Tax receipts will be issued to the value of $85 per individual. A limited number of corporate tables are available with sponsorship. To purchase your tickets please contact Trina Porter at trina@fluvarium.ca or 722-3825.

Established as a registered not-for-profit, charitable organization in 1985, the Foundation was started as a grassroots initiative focused so tenderly on the health of a river that watched a city grow up around it. We have grown since then within this generous community to operate the Suncor Energy Fluvarium, an environmental centre for excellence. Our mission is to inspire the protection, conservation & enhancement of freshwater ecosystems through education, advocacy & stewardship.

It is through educating “the next generation” that we are making a significant contribution to the preservation of our environment – especially our freshwater resources. The proceeds from this event helps ensure we can continue our environmental education programs to over 10,000 school children annually as well as put off public events promoting eco-consciousness.
