Job Opportunity: Administrative Assistant – LVM | Maritime Testing

Formerly Maritime Testing, our firm has now joined with LVM and is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join its new St. John’s office. Reporting to the Office Manager, you will perform general office work. You will also play a key role in the development of the new office. More specifically, you will:

Responsibilities

  • Be in charge of logistics pertaining to meetings, business trips & special events;
  • Participate in meetings, take notes and prepare minutes of meetings;
  • Collect information & prepare documents for discussion and presentation purposes;
  • Review, revise and correct documents for the team;
  • Coordinate the integration of the new employees;
  • Perform various basic accounting tasks, including budget monitoring.

Requirements

  • Relevant training in office automation or administration (asset);
  • Strong experience in document management;
  • Project coordination experience (asset);
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Excellent knowledge of English;
  • Knowledge of French (asset);
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as with outside clients.
