ACZISC Coast Update for September

The Coastal Update, distributed to over 5500 people worldwide, has been published monthly by the Atlantic Coastal Zone Information Steering Committee (ACZISC) since 1997. Readers are invited to send suggestions of items to be considered for inclusion in the newsletter to aczisc@dal.ca. Your feedback regarding the newsletter is also appreciated. Please feel free to circulate the Coastal Update among your own networks. Note that the inclusion of items does not imply endorsement by the ACZISC or its member agencies.
The ACZISC was established in 1992 to promote cooperation in Atlantic Canada with regard to integrated coastal and ocean management, coastal mapping and geomatics. The ACZISC is multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral with representation from eleven Canadian federal departments, four Atlantic provincial governments, community organizations, academia and the private sector.
In 2013 the ACZISC is beginning its 21st year serving its members and the integrated coastal and ocean management community.
Readers are invited to visit the ACZISC’s website at http://www.coinatlantic.ca to review this and past issues of the Coastal Update, our theme pages which are routinely updated with new links and publications, and the presentations, videos and reports from ACZISC meetings.
