2014 HSEQ Training from Quality Matters

ISO 9001:2008 Overview
September 23 / October 28 / November 25 / December 16
Workshop Outline:
This course will provide knowledge and an interpretation of the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Standard. The course will benefit anyone working in an ISO 9000 environment, and will be especially useful for individuals who may be required to develop, maintain or audit an ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.

ISO 9001:2008 Internal Auditor
September 24-25 / October 29-30 / November 26-27 / December 17-18
Workshop Outline:
This course will provide participants with an understanding of the internal audit process and its application to Quality Management Systems. Special emphasis will be placed on audit planning, execution and follow-up to ensure participants gain a solid understanding of how to perform effective audits. Communication and interpersonal skills are also emphasized and integrated into the course where possible.

ISO 9001:2015 Transition
October 21 / December 10
Workshop Outline:
This workshop will provide knowledge and an interpretation of the requirements of the new ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard. Participants will learn about the upcoming revision and how it could affect their organization’s quality management system. This course will also identify timeframes to implement the new standard.

ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor (RAB/QSA Certified) (OMNEX)
November 3-7
Workshop Outline:
This five-day seminar provides an explanation of the ISO 9001 requirements and the design of a functional and effective Quality Management System. It explains the auditing process and audit instruments, documentation process, information on how to conduct an audit, write the audit report, take corrective action, and auditing case studies to develop skills for identifying nonconformities.

OHSAS 18001 Overview (RAB/QSA)
November 19-20
Workshop Outline:
This two-day course will provide participants with an overview of the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety specification, with an emphasis on the following key information including background and definitions, overview of Occupational Health & Safety Legislation, including Bill C-45 amendments to the Criminal Code of Canada, outline of Acceptable Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Risk Control Techniques and Integration of OHSMS with EMS.

Introduction to Root Cause Analysis

Workshop Outline:
This workshop provides attendees with an in-depth understanding of how to analyze problems in order to identify the root causes. It will also provide an opportunity to conduct practical work activities that provide opportunities to use the concepts and techniques of problem solving. Upon completion of this workshop participants will have a working knowledge of effective root cause analysis.
