Environmental sector business is driven in part by federal, provincial, and municipal initiatives, along with private industrial mega-projects – either at home, or abroad on an international scale.
Participating in the procurement process for such initiatives is a valuable approach to business growth; if successful in the process, a business can open new markets for its products, diversify its supply chain, generate new revenues, and gain credible references for any exporting endeavors. The process will also provide feedback to the business on its offerings, competitiveness, and approach.
It is critical for firms to understand the procurement processes involved and how to be effective when competing. NEIA works with the public agencies and private businesses involved in tendering work to help its membership participate in the procurement process.
