PEGNL is seeking applications and/or nominations for its annual Environment Award, which is to be awarded at the Annual General Meeting.
The purpose of the PEGNL Environment Award is to recognize organizations and/or individuals that have contributed through projects involving the application of engineering or geoscience principles to the protection or enhancement of the physical environment in Newfoundland and Labrador.
While the project must contain engineering or geoscience application, those nominated need not be engineers or geoscientists. Nominations or applications must be made by or in conjunction with a PEGNL-licensed engineer or geoscientist.
Interested groups and individuals who wish to nominate or apply are invited to submit their application prior to the closing date of March 10, 2017.
PEGNL regulates the engineering and geoscience professions and receives its authority through the 2008 Engineers and Geoscientists Act. It exists so that there is competent and ethical practice of engineering and geoscience in Newfoundland and Labrador, and ensures public confidence in the professions.
