NRCan announces ‘Clean Growth Program’ – $155-million to fund clean technology projects in energy, mining, and forestry, helping to reduce GHGs and improve environmental outcomes.

Natural Resources Canada just announced the new Clean Growth Program: a $155-million program that will fund clean technology projects in the areas of energy, mining and forestry, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve environmental outcomes. This program covers five areas focused on pressing environmental challenges and economic opportunities facing Canada’s natural resource operations:

  • Reducing greenhouse gas and air-polluting emissions
  • Minimizing landscape disturbances and improving waste management
  • The production and use of advanced materials and bioproducts
  • Efficient energy use and productivity
  • Reducing water use and impacts on aquatic ecosystems

If you have a project that you think may be eligible for this program, please contact Kieran Hanley at kieran@neia.org.
