Give NEIA your input on NL’s proposed system for development of carbon offsets framework

NOTE: This opportunity has expired or is an event which has already taken place.

The Management of Greenhouse Gas Act was passed in Newfoundland and Labrador’s House of Assembly in June 2016 to establish a legislative framework for reducing greenhouse gas emissions by large industrial emitters in the province. To support this framework, the Provincial Government has contracted The Delphi Group to help develop Newfoundland and Labrador’s first carbon offset protocol with focuses on energy efficiency, fuel switching and renewable energy projects.

Click here to download the draft offsets protocol, or view them interactively below.

NEIA will be submitting feedback on the draft document to the Office of Climate Change. As final comments on the protocols are required by March 17, your input is requested as soon as possible. Please contact Kieran Hanley at kieran@neia.org with your input.
