Livable Cities Forum: Managing Local Climate Risks – November 15, 2018, St. John’s (NL)

Date: November 15, 2018
Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Alt Hotel, 125 Water St., St. John’s, NL

Join the ICLEI at the Alt Hotel in St. John’s, Newfoundland for this special 2018 Pop-Up edition of the Livable Cities Forum. The Pop-Up is a chance for us to move the Forum around the country, helping communities get started with managing climate risk. This one day event will be a chance to discuss climate change adaptation and resilience with a focus on collaborative vulnerability and risk assessment, managing climate risks, and mainstreaming climate change across operations. Some highlights of the forum include:

  • Unpack your ‘Adaptation Toolkit’! Discover various tools available at the provincial and national level to support adaptation planning for local governments
  • Hear stories from the field! Learn how other Canadian cities have implemented adaptation actions without a formal adaptation plan
  • Attend interactive workshops! Work collaboratively to map local risks, or learn how to evaluate climate change risks to specific infrastructure

More information about the Forum, including registration, program, and pricing, can be found at http://www.livablecitiesforum.com.
