JOB OPPORTUNITY: Project Manager in an Assessment & Remediation Group

Pinchin LeBlanc is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Assessment & Remediation group in St. John’s, NL. The Project Manager is responsible for the successful and profitable execution of projects within their area(s) of expertise, overseeing project staff, and business development activities including developing and nurturing client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar; with a Masters degree a definite asset, combined with 10+ years of project management experience in a similar position. Solid technical knowledge and reporting skills relating to phased environmental site assessments (i.e. Phase I-III ESAs), site remediation, contaminated sites process, quantitative and qualitative risk assessments and risk management, Atlantic RBCA (i.e. Tier I & Tier II risk assessment using computer model), and soil vapour assessments is required. The candidate must be eligible to register as a Site Professional as outlined in the Newfoundland & Labrador management of impacted sites guidance document. He or she must be a confident presenter and comfortable developing relationships with current and prospective clients. A practical understanding of Pinchin’s other service offerings; hazardous materials, indoor air quality, occupational hygiene, building science, and laboratory services, would be a strength. Experience managing and developing staff would also be beneficial.
