JOB OPPORTUNITY: Marketing Lead (Seaformatics Systems Inc.)

Seaformatics is seeking an energetic, outdoor loving and creative Marketing Lead. This position is responsible for market strategy, planning and execution of all digital & traditional marketing initiatives for Seaformatics. You will start and grow our marketing team! Seaformatics Systems Inc. is a startup company in St. John’s, NL that designs hydro turbines to provide power in remote areas. Our most recent product, the Waterlily, is a portable turbine that can capture energy from flowing water or wind to charge USB powered devices. The Waterlily has already attracted customers from over 18 countries on 5 continents. Our industrial turbine, the Sealily, harvests power from ocean currents to provide power for ocean data collecting instruments. The Sealily is available in our turnkey ocean monitoring packages that avail of the latest subsea wireless data communications and sensor technologies.

The position of Marketing Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, executing and managing strategic marketing day to day and long term plans for the entire organization. This includes the management of all aspects of Seaformatics marketing budget, tactical planning, execution, product and market deliverables including but not limited to positioning, writing, promotion, public relations, events and committees in support of Seaformatics sales and strategic plan.As the Marketing Lead, you have the responsibility of coordinating daily/tactical-level marketing activities. Working closely with Seaformatics team members, you will be responsible for assisting with the development of, and ultimately executing of, various regional and global product marketing and marketing communications programs including online and offline advertising, website, public relations, event and tradeshow, as well as various types of direct marketing programs. Additionally, you will be responsible for written and editorial product marketing materials including product datasheets, case studies, white papers, press releases, testimonials and other product marketing vehicles.
