JOB OPPORTUNITY: Environmental Technician, Labrador City

Pinchin LeBlanc is seeking an Environmental Technician to join our Labrador City, NL office. Under the direction of a Project Manager, the Environmental Technician is responsible for the successful execution of a wide range of assigned field sampling programs such as water sampling, ambient air monitoring and hazardous materials sampling. In an office setting, the successful candidate will also complete in-house laboratory analysis, data entry, data interpretation, and technical report writing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work independently and also thrive in a team environment. He or she must be tolerant of working in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments. Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and technical report writing skills are required. Working knowledge of position-specific functions is ideal, and additional in-house training will be provided. A diploma in Environmental Technology or related will be considered an asset.

This position requires work related travel therefore, a valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and insurance is required (work related travel expenses will be compensated). The successful candidate will also be subject to criminal records checks, drug testing, and/or medical assessments depending on the requirements of our clients. Overtime (evening/weekend/holiday) will be required from time to time.
