Connections Research provides research, strategic planning, business development and project management services, and its principal areas of specialty include exporting and trade, business network development, agriculture, sectoral planning and community and rural development. Environmental services include the application of farm environmental planning procedures, delivery of training workshops to industry, integrated resource management in sectoral, regional and municipal planning, and promotion of the environmental industry as a growth sector.
Islands North is a subsidiary of Connections Research located in Newfoundland with a secondary base in southern England. Islands North identifies and develops business opportunities abroad for Atlantic-based companies, business networks and other consortia, agencies and institutions with products and services for sale internationally – usually in partnership with in-country companies. Islands North also promotes its agricultural expertise abroad, especially Farm Environmental Resources Planning procedures. Islands North was established primarily to pioneer Connections Research’s business interests in the islands of the Atlantic.
