In the coming weeks, the Memorial University alumni body will elect six individuals from among its ranks to sit on the Board of Regents, Memorial’s governing body. The call for nominations to run in the election has been issued and the deadline to apply is Friday, March 31, 2017 at 5 p.m. (NST).
This unique volunteer opportunity is open to all Memorial University alumni.
The Board of Regents oversees the management, administration and control of the property, revenue, business and affairs of the university. Memorial’s special commitment to the people of Newfoundland and Labrador extends that contribution far beyond the buildings and campuses that define the university’s physical boundaries. Alumni representatives who are successfully elected will serve a three-year term beginning on Sept. 1, 2017.

The election itself will open for voting on May 1, 2017 and run through to May 31, 2017.
